I had so much fun at the Straight Outta Fiskeback Junior Freestyle Camp in Torhamn this year! Torhamn is an amazing place. All I can say is that if you have the chance to visit, you should. Good people, good windsurfing, good times. Read on for a recap of my jam packed coaching weekend.
Three long days of freestyle fun in fantastic conditions with the best crew of youngsters imaginable made this Junior Camp one to remember.
The action was non-stop, with kids as young as 8 taking their first steps on the board next to young adults learning radical freestyle moves. It was so inspiring to see the energy and excitement the juniors brought with them every time they went out for a session.
To keep the riders up and running we had the local families preparing great food on the beach for everyone to enjoy after every session, and the amazing Kafé Måsen serving the breakfast of champions in the mornings.
It is safe to say that when the time came to wrap things up after three days of intense riding and fun on the beach everyone had earned a few days of rest. The wind was still on though, and to top an already perfect weekend off I got to join my local friends for a super fun offshore freestyle session.
